Designer Brands MySELF Business Resource Group Empowers Associates and Supports LGBTQ+ Community

Designer Brands recognizes the importance of supporting its associate communities internally, in our hometown of Columbus, Ohio, and beyond. MySELF, DSW’s first Business Resource Group, has actively supported the LGBTQ+ community since its grassroots creation. It’s one of the most vibrant and active BRGs the company and counts many allies in its ranks. This year, the company is celebrating Pride all week culminating in the Columbus Pride parade on June 15, and the NYC Pride March June 30.

DSW’s MySOLE Business Resource Group Engages and Empowers Associates

Designer Brands recognizes the importance of reaching and supporting specific communities and audiences inside our organization and in our hometown of Columbus, Ohio. One way we accomplish this is through our business resource groups, or BRGs. These groups of associates often have common interests or backgrounds, from being working parents and caregivers, to being members of the LGBTQ community, to being new professionals. These BRGs not only bring value to associates, they often contribute key business insights to the larger enterprise. MySOLE, which focuses on engaging with African and African American communities, made big strides in 2018. Here we celebrate some of their wins!
